Breaking News: In Nigeria Unilag postpones Post UTME indefinitely

By Igboamalu Chimezie Nelson

The University of Lagos(Unilag) has postponed the screening/post UTME of new students which was earlier slated for 18th to 22nd of September indefinitely.

Dr Taiwo Ipaye the University registrar said the new date for the exams will be communicated duly on its website.

"Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly to get information and know when the new date will be fixed.

"the postponement does not affect the ongoing registration by the students which will end by September 15 " Ipaye said.

NAN claims that the postponement was a resultant effect of the strike action of joint action committee of the Non Academic staff Union of universities (JAC).

JAC which comprises of NASU, SSANU and NAAT embarked on indefinite industrial action on monday.

The union was agitated because of the refusal of the Federal government to implement the agreement of 2009.
