Campus Sports: Find out which Fergie's Record Mourinho is willing to defy this season

Sir Alex and Mourinho

The EPL seems to be good on the Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho who is looking at defying Sir Alex Ferguson's record of the most Champions League matches played as a manager.

The Portuguese has already played 133 games in the competition, he falls behind Sir Alex Ferguson with 61 games who happens to be the highest figures of all times though both have won the League twice, Mourinho, with Porto in 2004 and inter 2010. Ferguson has won it with United in 1999 and 2008.

Mourinho will be leading the United to the Champions League later this month and is looking forward to an extended stay to take him steps further to Ferguson's landmark.

In a statement to the united website he said "I know am among the top five or six but I'm quite far, especially from the top one but will fight hard to go for that record,"

"Last season, I lost a season in the chase for this record, but Manchester United is where Manchester United has to be and am really happy with that.

" But the Champions League is where we want to be and maybe I'm too ambitious, I don't know but I want to be the manager with more matches in the Champions League "

Do you think that Mourinho can do this? Can he have more matches in the Champions League this season, can he break Sir Alex Ferguson's landmark?
