Humans and the sex Drive

I had the privilege of meeting some teens recently within the age bracket of 16 & 17 who were apprehended for raping a girl from the same school they attended. After asking them series of questions, they obviously couldn't unravel what prompted them into that despicable act.

Who should then be blamed? Is it the surge and activities of hormones necessary for pubertal onset or the sin nature.

I also considered the fact that sexologists put the sexual drive of men to peak in the latter part of their teenage years (16-19) while the sexual drive in women peak in their late twenties. So could this scientific postulations on hormones push this boys to rape? What about Grandfathers defiling toddlers and Babies? This then is definitely not the handwork of high libido occasioned by hormonal activities.

Bible has it that everything God created was good including man and the biochemical substances (hormones) that he is made of.
Hormones are necessary in bringing not only man to life but plants as well as other living things.
God did not make hormones to push us into sin.It will not be fair of us when we lust after the opposite sex, engage in pornography, flirting ,fornication and other sexual sins to put the blame on our hormones.

Even in Christian courtship, there is probability you will end up under the sheets if you have not dealt with the sin nature. We all have flesh with blood running through us. The thought will definitely come because even your testosterone, oxytocin and endorphins will get in the excited state naturally. That ambience and aura with the one you love can trigger you to the bed.
The sin nature is what must be dealt with. The sin nature we inherited in Adam triggers the activities of testosterone, oestrogen, oxytocin, dopamine, serotine and other endorphins for the wrong reasons leading us into sexual sins.  Until we mortify our members and learn to lean on the Cross, we'll continue in this circle of rape and sexual sins.
God's grace and living in the consciousness of His own righteousness will help us prevail.
