Nigeria: The Technical University Ibadan, Oyo state calls for student's Applicantions

The Technical University (Tech-U), Ibadan, established by the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Senator Isiaka Ajimobi  is the first technical university in Nigeria and West Africa. The University operates on a public-private-partnership model. It is located in a serene and secured environment at Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Its objectives are to extend access to higher education, train the complete person through a fitting combination of quality and knowledge and practical skills and a rich, consistent emphasis on moral values.

Applications are invited from qualified candidate for the 2017/2018 academic session, beginning in October, into the following NUC-accredited programmes.

All students regardless of their course of study will sign up for two vocational training programmes to be coordinated by established Artisans and Entrepreneurs at the centre for Entrepreneurial and vocational studies of the university. All students MUST learn French language at the University centre for Language and General studies and undergo immersion at French Village, Badagary,   and, and the Republic of Benin before graduation.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates interested in being considered for admission into the 15 accredited programmes must satisfy the basic ordinary level, NABTEB OR its equivalent requirement of five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at one sitting OR six(6) subjects at two sittings. Candidates are to apply to JAMB for a change of University to pick the Technical University, Ibadan, as one of their choices. Candidates should also visit the Tech-U website for more information.

According to students who are members of the Parliament, Oyekan has committed a series of impeachable offence and impeaching him is a welcome development.
