By Igboamalu Chimezie Nelson

The students of Rongo university has reacted sadly to the relocation notice given to them by the school management through the dean of student  affairs barely a week after resumption.

The students has been directed by the dean citing changes in lecture venues through the school website to relocate to the main campus in a near by town Kitere about 8 to 10 kilometer from Ringo town.

According to Kenya's Reel magazine the students lamented about the distance and expenses involved in the relocation were seen boycotting lectures to drive their point.

The students argue that the relocation exercise will cost them a fortune and each one would have to spend money to move their belonging to kitere which would leave them broke for the rest of the semester, and the facilities at Rongo where in good condition for learning.

The also claimed that accommodation and living expenses in Rongo town was affordable (ksh10000) compared to kitere which goes for (15000) and has more private hostels.

They have also blamed the authorities for not consulting their student union and has threatened to boycott lectures should they be forced to relocate against their wish.
