Nigeria: National Association of Nigerian students welcomes Buhari, wants youths to be included in National planning and cabinet reshuffle
Abuja: The leadership of National Association of Nigerian student has expressed joy on the return of president Buhari to the country after his vacation that lasted over 100 days in London.
The president of the Association Chinonso Obasi said that the students stood with the president through the difficult times and would continue to stand with him in prayers. He prayed God to provide Buhari more wisdom to move the country forward.
"As Mr president settles down, I will in the spirit of comradeship and solidarity, mobilize the leadership of Nigerian students to pay a special welcome back solidarity visit to him.
He continued,
" we will intimate him of certain development in nations educational sector and other issues of critical national importance"
He urged the president to use the opportunity of his return to quickly introduce a new sense of vigor into his administration by repositioning his cabinet for effectiveness.
"There is need to bring on board cerebral competent, vibrant, contemporary and dynamic young people to stimulate the administration and revive the ailing economy.
According to vanguard, the appealed to Buhari to use his National broadcast scheduled for August 21 to address the indefinite strike by ASUU so that students can go back to school.
He also stressed the need for young people and students to be involved in decision taking process in the country and that they are also vibrantly involved in the Economic growth recovery plan of the country.
